Quick, Affordable Solution for Correcting Minor Flaws

Natural-Looking Results
Our doctors have extensive experience with cosmetic dental bonding and can provide beautiful, natural-looking results in a single visit.
Composite resin is used as the bonding material and is applied to the surface of the tooth (or teeth) and hardened under a UV light. Your doctor will then gently and artfully sculpt the resin into the shape and size that works best with your smile. To finish the procedure, the resin is polished smooth to blend in with the rest of the tooth.

When Do I Need Dental Bonding?
Correcting minor flaws with dental bonding
Our doctors can easily and painlessly correct minor flaws in the tooth structure with dental bonding. Imperfections such as cracks, chips or broken corners can be corrected. Bonding can also improve the appearance of discolored teeth.
Tooth-colored fillings
Dental bonding composite material is also used for making tooth-colored fillings, which have a much more aesthetic appearance than old amalgam metal fillings and may be safer, as they don’t contain mercury like amalgam fillings do. Drs. Parker and Pennington can replace your old amalgam fillings with natural-looking tooth-colored fillings.
After braces have been removed
One of the common issues with traditional metal braces that use brackets adhered to the teeth is that it can be difficult to properly clean teeth. Without proper oral care, a process known as demineralization may occur, a result of carbohydrates combining with sugar to create acids that erode the surface of the enamel.
This erosion results in a chalky white spot on the tooth. With cosmetic bonding, we can cover any spots that are apparent after braces have been removed so that you may enjoy a more attractive smile.

We understand that our patient’s have unique needs and desires. With that in mind, we always discuss options with you and decide on the best course of action together.
