A native of St. Marys, Dr. Greer attended Valdosta State University to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. His Career path towards dentistry was set into motion by a boating accident that resulted in dental trauma. Dr. Parker and Dr. Pennington were the dentists who provided him with reconstructive dentistry, including a dental implant, a root canal and bone grafting. After being inspired by Dr. Parker’s and Dr. Pennington’s level of care and commitment to their patients, Dr. Greer realized at that moment he wanted to pursue dentistry himself. After completing dental school at the Dental College of Georgia, Dr. Greer accepted a two-year hospital-based position in the General Practice Residency Program, with the idea of pursuing complete dentistry, IV and oral sedation, bone grafting, wisdom tooth removal, and caring for medically complex patients. Along with surgical experience, he gained additional skills in restorative and prosthodontic procedures, including dentures, partials, inlays/onlays, veneers, and even endodontic procedures. Dr. Greer prides himself on staying up to date with modern dentistry and taking continuing education courses regularly.
Dr. Greer is happily married to his wife Leanne, and they are proud parents to a Labrador Retriever named Abilene. Outside of the office, Dr. Greer enjoys golf, fishing and hunting. His most unique hobby is beekeeping, from which he jars his own honey!
